Indian Ocean Garnet Sands Company Pvt Ltd.,(IOGS) Tuticorin, India, having about 35 years of experience in mining and separation of heavy minerals in south east coast of Tamil Nadu state, India, was a pioneer in setting up the first mineral separation plant in private sector in South India. IOGS with its presence in Malaysia and countries across the world in the field of marketing IOGS Garnet, took over the KILANG AMANG ONN SDN BHD ONN MINERAL COMPANY., [OMC] Malaysia in end 2011.
OMC has a well equipped wet separation and dry mineral processing unit configured mainly to process the feed material to produce Garnet, TIN, Rutile, Zircon and Ilmenite. The wet separation plant is equipped with Cross Flow Separators from Eriez, USA, Spiral Gravity Concentrators from Mineral Technologies [MD], Australia & Wet Table from Holman, UK. The company also has a State-of-the-Art Dry mineral processing plant producing over 50,000 MTs of heavies namely Garnet, Tin, Rutile, Zircon & Ilmenite per annum.
OMC has an independent and fully equipped quality control department with a well qualified team to monitor the production thoroughly. Samples are systematically collected online during the production and also from each and every bag and the analyses are carried out as per the international standards to maintain the quality. The laboratory is fully equipped with world class laboratory equipments like Rare Earth Drum, RE Roll separator of Eriez, and Olympus Petrological Microscope.
